Chelsea DOC gone.

Has it finally happened and the Chelsea DOC has gone?

What does that mean for the men's team?

Head coach was a separate contract to the position made redundant a few weeks back

His Visa wont allow him to stay unless he gets a full time job. Going home to visit his half brother in Brooklyn. He'll find him on the bench counting his cheques!

Oh wow, so the mens team is without a coach, I'm assuming they have an AC who will take over.
Redundancy, that's an interesting way of showing him the door. I guess it also means they can't get advertise for a new DOC at the moment.

All they need to do is advertise a "Basketball Development Officer" position and the duties can be similar.

So what happens to the Men's team? And the guys the coach brought in?

An ex-GM of the club is rumoured to be returning very soon.

Is it possible to pick this once great club off the ground?gee, the people that allowed the half brother to absolutely stuff the club must be real happy with themselves right now.
Best ofluck

He bled the club dry. Finances up the creek, but big effort to paddle hard and turn it around. Word is club won't have a full-time DOC until things start growing again.

As far as I’m aware he’s still men’s team coach. Not sure if he’s still doing the unpaid 16.1 girls VJBL coaching

His name wasn't on the list as coach for last weekend.

He's gone from the club completely. Well done to the committee for finally making the call. Like his half brother, a very selfish individual!

Disappointing when a loyal servant of any club is treated with disrespect.

I'd be loyal too if I was getting paid a good full time salary and only working 1 day a week (at best)!!

You are the one that needs to find out the facts

The club could not of been more loyal over all the years

That club bent over backwards for him.

Hey Foxtrot, as Red"n"blue says, you have no idea what you're talking about. I know the facts, and the club have been very loyal to a man that did stuff all in his DOC role for 6-7 years. The fact he had friends on the committee is the only reason he lasted. Those friends of course were given coaching roles, and their kids looked after in teams.

I disagree.
He did a lot of good things in his time at the club! And is a fantastic guy!
Time for you to move on now.

Agree to disagree. But I know from the inside that he was very selfish, and thought of noone but himself. See ya.
